Congratulations to the almost 200 team members who completed the Bellin 10K Run/Walk on Saturday, June 14th. Every one of you should be extremely proud of your accomplishment! You put in the hard work and were rewarded in the end.

Our team once again took part in the Corporate Challenge. The Corporate Challenge allows employees to have a friendly competition amongst other Corporations. Companies not only compete to see how many employees they can get to participate, but we also compete in a timing division. Being part of the Corporate Challenge also allows us to participate in the t-shirt contest and be able to have your BIBS and t-shirts delivered to Oneida Family Fitness before the Bellin Run instead of having participants go down to Astor Park to pick them up.

Out of the almost 200 participants, 94 were tribal employees who contributed to our Corporate Challenge Competition. We came in 3rd in the XX-Large Company Employee Participation Challenge! We placed 21st overall in the timing division. A special congratulations goes out to our top 5 Male and Female finishers. The teams’ top finishers are employees who finished based on their actual finish time, and then given an age graded calculation time to give everybody, no matter age, an equal chance to be in the top 5. Top 5 Men: 1. Tony Kuchma 44:15; 2. Ted Sutrick 45:10; 3. Dennis Danforth 55:20; 4. John Powless, III 48:47; 5. Paul Provot 56:30. Top 5 Females: 1. Peggy Crabb 58:17; 2. Amanda Riesenberg 47:43, 3. Amy Griesbach 53:15; 4. Sandra Skenadore 1:18:09; 5. Brenda Mendolla-Buckley 1:01:11

Team Oneida would not be possible without the hard work of many people and departments. We would like to extend a Thank You to Oneida Family Fitness and the Special Diabetes Program for Indians through the Oneida Community Health Center for their support of this year’s event. The Corporate Tent, Team Shirt and Gift Cards would not have been possible without these two departments and staff working together.

Great Job to everybody who participated! Mark your Calendars now for next year’s 39th Annual Bellin Run, June 13, 2015!
