Mission Statement

The Community Health Nursing Department of the Oneida Community Health Center will provide nursing and ancillary services with an emphasis on health promotion,wellness,and disease prevention. Services will be provided with the utmost of confidentiality. Individual customer (internal and external) integrity will be guarded with respect at all times. Goals and objectives will be consistent with the mission,goals,and objectives of the Oneida Community Health Center.

The Public Health Officer provides direction and planning for Community Health programs. The Public Health Officer ensures regular assessment of the community to determine Public Health needs, maintains and promotes positive public relations, and works with the Media and acts as a resource on Public Health matter for the Oneida Community.


In general, Community Health programs:

Focus on the Health of the Community

Encourages and promotes individual, family and community health and well-being 

Provides programs and activities to promote illness and Injury prevention, foster healthy Lifestyles, and Reduce Environmental Risks and Hazards.
