Reading Intervention, also known as "Power Hour", is a reading program that we have incorporated into the high school curriculum which encompasses all students and grade levels at Oneida Nation High School. The main focus of this program is to help all students at ONHS to become better readers. It also serves as an opportunity for students and teachers to work together to monitor student progress in other classes.
Power Hour is held every school day from 9:50am-10:20am. During this time, your child is becoming a better reader by employing research-based reading strategies, learning and implementing effective comprehension skills, and developing a more diverse vocabulary.
