As of October 1, 2009 the Burial Fund has been replaced by the Oneida Life Insurance Plan Plus (OLIPP).

STATE BURIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

For Wisconsin Residents:

In order to be eligible for State Burial Assistance all persons must have no other resources available for funeral costs and must not be eligible for any other burial benefits. Also, the Deceased must be a recipient of an income maintenance program at the time of death.

The State of Wisconsin through a contract with the Oneida Center for Self-Sufficiency (OCSS) provides funeral expenses for eligible deceased persons. Please contact OCSS for determination of eligibility at:

VETERAN’S BENEFITS

A VA burial allowance is a partial reimbursement of an eligible veteran’s burial and funeral costs. When the cause of death is not service-related, the reimbursement is generally described as two payments: (1) burial and funeral expense allowance, and (2) a plot interment allowance.
