Shop with a cop 2013

The Oneida Police Department participates in the annual Shop with a Cop event every year creating wonderful long lasting memories with area youth.

GREEN BAY, WI (December 10, 2013) – 19th annual “Do It! Shop with a Cop” event will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2013. In addition to giving the children a unique opportunity to shop for presents for themselves and family members with a member of a local police department, the program helps to foster positive community relations between law enforcement and elementary school children. Over 150 children will participate in this year’s event.

The day begins with a breakfast attended by the children and the law enforcement volunteers during which the children receive gifts of new hats, gloves and mittens. The children and officers are then transported to area Shopko stores where the officers assist the children as they select and wrap the perfect gifts for their family members.
